Mr. Nesper was admitted to practice in New York State in 1955. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Erie County Bar Association.

Mr. Nesper was the Town of Amherst Deputy Town Attorney from 1958 until 1973 and then Town Attorney from 1973 until 1993. He remains active in Municipal Law and in the Town of Amherst. He is Secretary of the Williamsville Rotary Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors for the Amherst Museum. He is a past member of the Board of Amherst Senior Citizens Foundation and Amherst Meals on Wheels.
